- it is _not_ using the blitter for virtual screens --- it is using the
- usual mechanism, which is to get the apps to redraw their windows.

- You can try that out: Start xv from an xterm (or any other app that
- opens its own windows and doesn't fork itself into several processes).
- Then, in the xterm, hit CTRL-Z, which should "stop" the program. It
- won't react to clicks anymore, nothing. Now move to a different
- virtual screen and back. If it was just blitting around, you would see
- the original window. However, I am almost sure you will see an almost
- blank window instead --- the app can't redraw it, because the app has
- been stopped.
