  20. Of course, the Amiga probably wouldn't have enough display RAM to hold
  21. even one of the HP screens, let alone multiple ones.

  23. And Juergen, unless you are sitting in front of a very strange HP,
  24. it is _not_ using the blitter for virtual screens --- it is using the
  25. usual mechanism, which is to get the apps to redraw their windows.

  27. You can try that out: Start xv from an xterm (or any other app that
  28. opens its own windows and doesn't fork itself into several processes).
  29. Then, in the xterm, hit CTRL-Z, which should "stop" the program. It
  30. won't react to clicks anymore, nothing. Now move to a different
  31. virtual screen and back. If it was just blitting around, you would see
  32. the original window. However, I am almost sure you will see an almost
  33. blank window instead --- the app can't redraw it, because the app has
  34. been stopped.
